Endless Summer (Fennesz Album)
Endless Summer is an album by Christian Fennesz, released on 3 July 2001 by Mego. It was reissued in 2006 with two bonus tracks and new cover art. Like most of Fennesz's other works, it focuses heavily on digitally manipulated electric guitar sounds, but with a much stronger emphasis on melodies and pop-like composition than on his previous releases. Endless Summer shares its title with a 1974 Beach Boys compilation album. It was named the 41st best album of the decade by Resident Advisor, 14th by Tiny Mix Tapes, and 26th by Pitchfork Media.

Famous quotes containing the words endless and/or summer:
“What do we want with this vast and worthless area, of this region of savages and wild beasts, of deserts, of shifting sands and whirlwinds, of dust, of cactus and prairie dogs; to what use could we ever hope to put these great deserts, or those endless mountain ranges, impenetrable and covered to their very base with eternal snow? What can we ever hope to do with the western coast, a coast of 3,000 miles, rockbound, cheerless, uninviting and not a harbor in it?”
—For the State of Kansas, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
“Cling with life to the maid;
But when the surprise,
First vague shadow of surmise
Flits across her bosom young,
Of a joy apart from thee,
Free be she, fancy-free;
Nor thou detain her vestures hem,
Nor the palest rose she flung
From her summer diadem.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
