Encore Series

The Encore Series are concert recordings developed initially in 2002 through a partnership between The Who and TheMusic.com. The series was created as a type of legal bootleg of major artists' complete concert tours. Each series is authorised by the artists, and recorded directly from the artists' sound board. The recordings are typically released as a series of individual CD albums, one recording for each tour date, along with a boxed set containing each show's recording.

Famous quotes containing the words encore and/or series:

    The deer and the dachshund are one.
    Well, the gods grow out of the weather.
    The people grow out of the weather;
    The gods grow out of the people.
    Encore, encore, encore les dieux . . .
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)

    The woman’s world ... is shown as a series of limited spaces, with the woman struggling to get free of them. The struggle is what the film is about; what is struggled against is the limited space itself. Consequently, to make its point, the film has to deny itself and suggest it was the struggle that was wrong, not the space.
    Jeanine Basinger (b. 1936)
