Personal Life
Kennan is married to Michael Burns, the former actor and professor emeritus at Mount Holyoke. They presently reside near Danville, Kentucky, where they have restored the Cambus-Kenneth Estate, a thoroughbred horse farm listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
