Stabbing
On January 18, 2008, Angel Facio, a 16-year-old sophomore, stabbed consumer sciences teacher Carolyn Gilbert after the end of the school day. Fellow teacher Mike Gannon subdued Facio, who was arrested and later plead guilty to attempted murder. As a result of the attack, Gilbert lost her right eye.
