Skills and Abilities
Elayne is among the most powerful female channelers of the past thousand years, with fewer than ten living non-Forsaken women besting her raw strength. She has also demonstrated an immense degree of talent in the copying and creation of ter'angreal. She has successfully made copies of the twisted ring ter'angreal that Egwene obtained from Verin Sedai, a'dam, and several other objects. While recreating the a'dam she also modified the design without a leash between the collar and bracelet, which is unnecessary for maintaining the forced link. She has also made some original ter'angreal, including one which makes the user invisible and was able to re-create Mat Cauthon's foxhead medallion which repels the use of the one power, although the copies currently do not work quite as well. She has expressed interest in learning how to make angreal or sa'angreal, but as of late her studies have taken a back seat to her political campaign and pregnancy.

“The invention of photography provided a radically new picture-making processa process based not on synthesis but on selection. The difference was a basic one. —Jean Szarkowski (b. 1925)
“Make-believe is the avenue to much of the young childs early understanding. He sorts out impressions and tries out ideas that are foundational to his later realistic comprehension. This private world sometimes is a quiet, solitary
world. More often it is a noisy, busy, crowded place where language grows, and social skills develop, and where perseverance and attention-span expand.”
—James L. Hymes, Jr. (20th century)
“Who can measure the advantages that would result if the magnificent abilities of these women could be devoted to the needs of government, society and home, instead of being consumed in the struggle to obtain their birthright of individual freedom? Until this be gained we can never know, we can not even prophesy the capacity and power of women for the uplifting of humanity.”
—Susan B. Anthony (18201906)
