Extended Data Service
The EIA-608 data stream format includes Extended Data Service (XDS), a variety of information about the transmission. It is all optional, and can include:
- channel name
- channel call letters
- program name
- offensiveness rating (violence, sex, etc.)
- program category (drama, game show, etc.)
