• Alaa Elsayed (Arabic: علاء السيد‎) skipper of the first Egyptian National Handball to Win the African Championship in Cairo 1991, played for Altayaran Club, later became administrative manager of the National Team
• Sameh Abd Alwareth(Arabic: سامح عبد الوارث‎) First Egyptian to break a handball world record by scoring 15 goals against Romania in World Cup 93, played For Al Ahly club, joined Paris Saint Germain then retired at 25 due to knee injury
