Egg Drop Competition - Naked Egg Drop

Naked Egg Drop

A variation of the Egg Drop competition is the Naked Egg Drop, in which an exposed raw egg is dropped into a container below that must catch the egg and keep it from breaking. Heights are increased until the egg breaks or the catching container is missed. This event is called Naked Egg Drop because nothing can be attached to the egg.

Famous quotes containing the words egg and/or drop:

If there was one egg in it there were nine,
Torpedo-like, with shell of gritty leather,
All packed in sand to wait the trump together.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)

Chaucer is fresh and modern still, and no dust settles on his true passages. It lightens along the line, and we are reminded that flowers have bloomed, and birds sung, and hearts beaten in England. Before the earnest gaze of the reader, the rust and moss of time gradually drop off, and the original green life is revealed. He was a homely and domestic man, and did breathe quite as modern men do.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
