The ACT public education system schooling is normally split up into Pre-School, Primary School (K-6), High School (7–10) and College (11–12) followed by studies at university or TAFE. Famous quotes containing the words education, australian, capital and/or territory:

The Supreme Court would have pleased me more if they had concerned themselves about enforcing the compulsory education provisions for Negroes in the South as is done for white children. The next ten years would be better spent in appointing truant officers and looking after conditions in the homes from which the children come. Use to the limit what we already have.
    Zora Neale Hurston (1891–1960)

    Each Australian is a Ulysses.
    Christina Stead (1902–1983)

Nobility is a graceful ornament to the civil order. It is the Corinthian capital of polished society.
    Edmund Burke (1729–1797)

Size is not grandeur, and territory does not make a nation.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–95)
