Edgefest (New Zealand Concert Tour)

Edgefest is an annual music festival in New Zealand, run by The Edge radio station.

For the past 3 years Edgefest has taken place in March, and hosts New Zealand musical bands and artists, as well as some overseas acts. It is thought of as a younger, more commercial version of the Big Day Out. It is normally sponsored by The Edge FM, Sounds music stores, C4 television, Coca Cola, and Vodafone.

The concerts are held on weekends in March, in Auckland (Supertop), Hamilton (Mystery Creek Events Centre), Wellington (Queens Wharf Events Centre) and Christchurch (Westpac Events Centre).

Famous quotes containing the words zealand and/or concert:

Teasing is universal. Anthropologists have found the same fundamental patterns of teasing among New Zealand aborigine children and inner-city kids on the playgrounds of Philadelphia.
    Lawrence Kutner (20th century)

Proportion ... You can’t help thinking about it in these London streets, where it doesn’t exist.... It’s like listening to a symphony of cats to walk along them. Senseless discords and a horrible disorder all the way.... A concert of Brobdingnagian cats. Order has been turned into a disgusting chaos. We need no barbarians from outside; they’re on the premises, all the time.
    Aldous Huxley (1894–1963)
