Griffin has been married three times. He married his first wife Carla in 1983 when he was 16 years old, They were together for 13 years. Griffin married his second wife, Rochelle, in 2002, but has since divorced. Griffin has nine kids and the oldest is 25 years old, Edward James Griffin,III. On September 8, 2011, Griffin married Nia Rivers.
