Eastern Conference Records is an independent record label based in New York City, New York. It is owned and operated by DJ Mighty Mi, the DJ/producer for the High & Mighty.
During the label's brief heyday, it was home to underground rappers (and cult heroes) such as Cage, Tame One (one-half of the duo The Artifacts), R.A. The Rugged Man, and The Weathermen, a supergroup composed of Cage Kennylz, Copywrite 78, Tame One, Breeze Brewin of the Juggaknots, El-P, Camu Tao, and Yak Ballz.
Famous quotes containing the words eastern, conference and/or records:
“Midway the lake we took on board two manly-looking middle-aged men.... I talked with one of them, telling him that I had come all this distance partly to see where the white pine, the Eastern stuff of which our houses are built, grew, but that on this and a previous excursion into another part of Maine I had found it a scarce tree; and I asked him where I must look for it. With a smile, he answered that he could hardly tell me.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man.”
—Francis Bacon (15611626)
“Philosophy, astronomy, and politics were marked at zero, I remember. Botany variable, geology profound as regards the mud stains from any region within fifty miles of town, chemistry eccentric, anatomy unsystematic, sensational literature and crime records unique, violin player, boxer, swordsman, lawyer, and self-poisoner by cocaine and tobacco.”
—Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (18591930)
