East Hartford High School - Graduation Requirements

Graduation Requirements

Students attending East Hartford High School must select a minimum of 6 credits each year.

A minimum of 22 credits is required for high school graduation, including the successful completion of 4 credits in English, 3 credits in Mathematics, 3 credits in Social Studies (1 credit must be U.S. History; a .5 credit Civics class is required), 2 credits in Science, 2 credits (4 years) in Wellness Education, and 1 credit in Arts/Vocational Education (courses in Business Department, Consumer and Family Science, Technology Education, Art Courses, Music Courses, Vocational Education).

Completion of Grade 10 "Foundation of American History" does not count toward the one-credit requirement of U. S. History for graduation. As of the 2010-2011 school year, all incoming freshmen and future students must also complete 10 hours of community service to graduate.
