East Hampshire (UK Parliament Constituency)
East Hampshire is a county constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. It was created in 1983 to replace the Petersfield constituency.
The first MP for the seat was Michael Mates, who held the seat from 1983 until 2010, but retired prior to the 2010 general election.
