  • William Augustus West, 3rd Earl De La Warr (27 April 1757 – January 1783). De La Warr was the eldest son of Lieutenant-General John West, 2nd Earl De La Warr, and Mary Wynyard, daughter of Lieutenant-General John Wynyard. He was educated at Eton. He was made a lieutenant-colonel in the Coldstream Guards in 1774. Three years later he succeeded in the earldom on the death of his father. Lord De La Warr died unmarried in January 1783, aged 25. His younger brother John succeeded in the title.
