EABIS - Overview

Overview

EABIS was launched in 2002 by five founding companies – IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Shell and Unilever – and a number of Europe’s leading business schools at INSEAD with the support of the European Commission.

EABIS gives companies the possibility to explore new types of partnerships with academic institutions. It is a platform that allows business to benefit from research findings and address their knowledge needs with leading academics and business peers on a wide range of subjects. EABIS also translates research outputs and business cases into teaching material that brings sustainability management into business school and university classrooms worldwide.

More specifically, EABIS:

  • Enables companies to benefit from academic knowledge through business driven research and events;
  • Enables businesses to focus on strategic priorities and sustainability agenda;
  • Integrates research and knowledge into business school teaching; and
  • Facilitates shared learning opportunities through partnerships and platforms of practice and thinking.
