Return To International Cricket
Smith ended a gap of nearly two and a half years out of the West Indies side when he was called up to the squad for the ODI and T20I series in Australia in early 2010. Although Smith performed well, averaging 43.33 with the bat and 32.71 with the ball, the West Indies were soundly beaten 4–0 in the ODI series. After playing two matches against Zimbabwe following the tour of Australia, Smith again found himself out of the side. He was recalled for the Twenty20 series against England in September 2011.

Famous quotes containing the words return to, return and/or cricket:
“The mother as a social servant instead of a home servant will not lack in true mother duty.... From her work, loved and honored though it is, she will return to her home life, the child life, with an eager, ceaseless pleasure, cleansed of all the fret and fraction and weariness that so mar it now.”
—Charlotte Perkins Gilman (18601935)
“Love is life. All, everything that I understand, I understand only because I love. Everything is, everything exists, only because I love. Everything is united by it alone. Love is God, and to die means that I, a particle of love, shall return to the general and eternal source.”
—Leo Tolstoy (18281910)
“All cries are thin and terse;
The field has droned the summers final mass;
A cricket like a dwindled hearse
Crawls from the dry grass.”
—Richard Wilbur (b. 1921)
