Dwayne Dixon - Coaching Career

Coaching Career

In 1994, Dixon returned to his alma mater to become the wide receivers coach for the Florida Gators under head coach Steve Spurrier, a position that he continued to hold under Spurrier's successor, Ron Zook. During his eleven years as a Florida assistant, the Gators won four SEC championships (1994, 1995, 1996, 2000) and one national championship (1996). Dixon held the same position for the North Carolina State Wolfpack from 2005 to 2006, and he is currently the wide receivers coach for the Ohio University Bobcats.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

It is a great many years since at the outset of my career I had to think seriously what life had to offer that was worth having. I came to the conclusion that the chief good for me was freedom to learn, think, and say what I pleased, when I pleased. I have acted on that conviction... and though strongly, and perhaps wisely, warned that I should probably come to grief, I am entirely satisfied with the results of the line of action I have adopted.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–95)
