Dutch Passport - Physical Appearance

Physical Appearance

Dutch passports are maroon, with the Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of the Netherlands emblazoned on the front cover. The words "EUROPESE UNIE" (English: European Union) and "KONINKRIJK DER NEDERLANDEN" (English: Kingdom of the Netherlands) are inscribed above the coat of arms as well as "PASPOORT" (English: passport), meaning Dutch passports comply with the design standards as set forth by the European Union. The Model 2011 biometric passport also features the ICAO biometric passport symbol at the bottom of the cover. The regular passport contains 34 pages 28 of which may be used for visas. Each chip also now contains record of the person's fingerprints.

Famous quotes containing the words physical and/or appearance:

A separation situation is different for adults than it is for children. When we were very young children, a physical separation was interpreted as a violation of our inalienable rights....As we grew older, the withdrawal of love, whether that meant being misunderstood, mislabeled or slighted, became the separation situation we responded to.
    Roger Gould (20th century)

Every natural fact is a symbol of some spiritual fact. Every appearance in nature corresponds to some state of the mind, and that state of the mind can only be described by presenting that natural appearance as its picture.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
