Durham Tees Valley Airport - Passenger Levy

Passenger Levy

On 15 November 2010 the airport introduced a passenger levy. All departing passengers need to purchase a PFF ticket in order to gain access to the Departure Lounge. The charges are:

- Adults £6 - Children (aged 3-15 years) £2 - Infants no charge

Passengers must purchase a ticket from a machine before being allowed to proceed through security. Similar schemes are already in place at other small English airports including Blackpool, Newquay and Norwich. Passenger numbers during 2011 were 15% lower compared to 2010.

Famous quotes containing the word passenger:

Every American travelling in England gets his own individual sport out of the toy passenger and freight trains and the tiny locomotives, with their faint, indignant, tiny whistle. Especially in western England one wonders how the business of a nation can possibly be carried on by means so insufficient.
    Willa Cather (1876–1947)
