• Barry Laight OBE, engineer and aircraft designer, who became Technical Director of Blackburn Aircraft, chief designer for the Blackburn Buccaneer, then for Hawker Siddeley, helped design the Hawk (as well as the cancelled supersonic P.1154), and President from 1974-5 of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS)
