Frederick Lander "Dupee" Shaw (May 31, 1859 – January 12, 1938), was an American Major League Baseball player who played pitcher in the Majors from 1883 to 1888. He would play for the Detroit Wolverines, Boston Reds, Providence Grays, and Washington Nationals. In 1884, Shaw struck out 451 batters (the fourth highest total in major league history) while playing with the Detroit Wolverines and Boston Reds. He struck out 18 batters in one game on July 19, 1884 against the St. Louis Maroons, and struck out a then-ML record 8.81 batters per nine innings. Shaw had a 30-33 record and 60 complete games in 1884.
Shaw died at the age of 78 in Wakefield, Massachusetts, and is interred at Glenwood Cemetery in Everett, Massachusetts.
