Middle Kids
Some exhibits are more suitable for those ages 4 - 8 years old.
Kids at Work offers a set of building blocks and Legos to make your own tower, house, bridge, whatever! If you make something awesome you can get its picture on the construction wall.
Water Works is a large table where water runs from the top pool to the bottom. Along the way, build a dam, work a canal, and use pulleys to ring a bell. Be sure to wear a provided smock--you will get wet!
Building Zone is a place where you can "work" like a real construction men/women and use a container to fill plastic rocks to dump in a bucket.

Famous quotes containing the words middle and/or kids:
“Unpleasant questions are being raised about Mothers Day. Is this day necessary? . . . Isnt it bad public policy? . . . No politician with half his senses, which a majority of politicians have, is likely to vote for its abolition, however. As a class, mothers are tender and loving, but as a voting bloc they would not hesitate for an instant to pull the seat out from under any Congressman who suggests that Mother is not entitled to a box of chocolates each year in the middle of May.”
—Russell Baker (20th century)
“We have what I would call educational genocide. Im concerned about learning totally, but Im immersed in the disastrous record of how many black kids are going into science. They are very few and far between. Ive said that when I see more black students in the laboratories than I see on the football field, Ill be happy.”
—Jewel Plummer Cobb (b. 1924)
