Duane Morris - Growth

Growth

Under the ten-year leadership of Chairman Sheldon Bonovitz from early 1998 to early 2008, Duane Morris grew from a little more than 200 lawyers in 1998 to more than 650 by January 2008. Revenues increased over that period from $70 million to $375 million for 2007. Bonovitz stepped down at the beginning of January 2008, replaced by former Vice Chairman John J. Soroko.

Harvard Business School completed a case study of the firm's growth entitled "Duane Morris: Balancing Growth and Culture at a Law Firm," which was presented in curriculum during the 2006-2007 academic year.

Famous quotes containing the word growth:

Sensuality often accelerates the growth of love so much that its roots remain weak and are easily pulled up.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

    The Past—the dark unfathom’d retrospect!
The teeming gulf—the sleepers and the shadows!
The past! the infinite greatness of the past!
For what is the present after all but a growth out of the past?
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)

Here commences what was called, twenty years ago, the best timber land in the State. This very spot was described as “covered with the greatest abundance of pine,” but now this appeared to me, comparatively, an uncommon tree there,—and yet you did not see where any more could have stood, amid the dense growth of cedar, fir, etc.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
