Freight
Dry Creek is at the eastern end of the Dry Creek to Port Adelaide railway line, with a triangle junction allowing trains from the north and south to head towards the branch line.
To the west of the station is a major freight terminal and marshalling yard. A bogie exchange facility was located here between 1980 and 1995.
The former Northfield railway line headed east from Dry Creek, which has since closed.

“Man, she looked as though shed been thrown off the crummiest freight train in the world. Yet, in spite of this, I got the impression of beauty.
