Share Issue
In January 2011, a Claret and Blue Club steering committee announced new plans for a share issue. It is hoped that 200 shares will be sold at €1000 each and that this new revenue will provide stability for 2011-12 and allow the club to finally become a supporter-owned community club. In early 2012 Drogheda United became a member's owned and run club when a new company Drogheda Utd FC Limited was formed consisting of members who paid €1000 each into the company.

Famous quotes containing the words share and/or issue:
“Nevertheless, no school can work well for children if parents and teachers do not act in partnership on behalf of the childrens best interests. Parents have every right to understand what is happening to their children at school, and teachers have the responsibility to share that information without prejudicial judgment.... Such communication, which can only be in a childs interest, is not possible without mutual trust between parent and teacher.”
—Dorothy H. Cohen (20th century)
“If someone does something we disapprove of, we regard him as bad if we believe we can deter him from persisting in his conduct, but we regard him as mad if we believe we cannot. In either case, the crucial issue is our control of the other: the more we lose control over him, and the more he assumes control over himself, the more, in case of conflict, we are likely to consider him mad rather than just bad.”
—Thomas Szasz (b. 1920)
