Dreamtime is a boulder problem in Cresciano, Switzerland. Its first ascent (FA) was by Frederic Nicole on 2000-10-28. Initially the problem was considered the benchmark V15. In February 2004 Malcolm Smith did the 8th ascent of the problem, downgrading it to 8B+. The downgrade prompted 1st and 2nd ascentionists Fred Nicole and Bernd Zangerl to reexamine the problem, stating shortly after, that the problem was now easier due to aggressive wirebrushing. According to Dave Graham only four climbers did the problem before it was chipped.
There is also a stand-start-only variation which settled at 8A/8A+.
In 2009 a hold on Dreamtime, broke. The problem has seen ascents after the break.
The first ten ascentionists are: Fred Nicole (oct. '00); Bernd Zangerl (apr. '01); Dave Graham (jan. '02); Chris Sharma (aug. '02); Christian Core (feb. '03); Thomas Willenberg (apr. '03); Steve Dunning (jan. '04); Malcolm Smith (feb. '04); James Litz (mar. '04); Christoph Cepus (apr. '04).
