Draw of The Cards

"Draw of the Cards" is a 1981 single release from Kim Carnes's Platinum-plus Mistaken Identity album.

The single reached #28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The music video for the song is directed by Russell Mulcahy, who previous directed the "Bette Davis Eyes" video.

The song failed to emulate the chart success of its predecessor, "Bette Davis Eyes", stopping short of the Top 20 in many of the countries where her previous hit had reached pole position.

Famous quotes containing the words draw and/or cards:

Art and ideology often interact on each other; but the plain fact is that both spring from a common source. Both draw on human experience to explain mankind to itself; both attempt, in very different ways, to assemble coherence from seemingly unrelated phenomena; both stand guard for us against chaos.
    Kenneth Tynan (1927–1980)

The world is a puzzling place today. All these banks sending us credit cards, with our names on them. Well, we didn’t order any credit cards! We don’t spend what we don’t have. So we just cut them in half and throw them out, just as soon as we open them in the mail. Imagine a bank sending credit cards to two ladies over a hundred years old! What are those folks thinking?
