Dr. Creep - Death

Death

Hobart's health began to fail in the last years of his life. Leg and respiratory issues rendered him unable to walk by April 2010. After this point, he used a wheelchair. Hobart continued making appearances as Dr. Creep through the fall. In November, he was guest of honor at the HorrorHound Weekend event in Cincinnati.

Hobart lapsed into a coma after a series of massive strokes in December 2010. Complications resulted in Hobart's death at a Dayton hospice on January 14, 2011. He was 69 years old.

Famous quotes containing the word death:

    ‘Tis no great valor to perish sword in hand, and bravado on lip; cased all in panoply complete. For even the alligator dies in his mail, and the swordfish never surrenders. To expire, mild-eyed, in one’s bed, transcends the death of Epaminondas.
    Herman Melville (1819–1891)

    ‘Tis no extravagant arithmetic to say, that for every ten jokes,—thou hast got an hundred enemies; and till thou hast gone on, and raised a swarm of wasps about thine ears, and art half stung to death by them, thou wilt never be convinced it is so.
    Laurence Sterne (1713–1768)

    So he with difficulty and labour hard
    Moved on, with difficulty and labour he;
    But he once passed, soon after when man fell,
    Strange alteration! Sin and Death amain
    Following his track, such was the will of Heaven,
    Paved after him a broad and beaten way
    Over the dark abyss, whose boiling gulf
    Tamely endured a bridge of wondrous length
    From hell continued reaching th’ utmost orb
    Of this frail world;
    John Milton (1608–1674)
