Don't Say You Love Me (M2M Song)

"Don't Say You Love Me" is a song recorded by pop band M2M in 1999. It was originally featured on the soundtrack to the movie Pokémon: The First Movie. The single had success in the United States, reaching No. 2 on US Billboard singles sales chart and reaching No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and being certified Gold, with shipments of over 700,000 copies. The song was also played on the television series Felicity and Beverly Hills, 90210

Radio Disney US began playing the song in November 1999, however it was not released and did not chart until early 2000. It was also released in Norway early in January, but was released slightly earlier elsewhere. There is a slight difference in lyrics between the Pokémon: The First Movie version and the single version, as the lyrics "You start kissing me" made implications not appropriate for a children's film, so the line was changed to "You said you love me". The non-altered version was included on their album, Shades of Purple.

Famous quotes containing the word love:

Those who love to be feared fear to be loved, and they themselves are more afraid than anyone, for whereas other men fear only them, they fear everyone.
