Don't Look Down was a 1985 hit for the successful English pop duo Go West. It was released in the UK where it reached #13 and New Zealand where it reached #10. The song was remixed later that year and released as a new single, under the title "Don't Look Down - The Sequel". Two years later, this version of the song was released to the American market and appeared on the American version of the band's Dancing on the Couch album; this single became their first Top 40 hit in the States, reaching #39.
Famous quotes containing the word west:
“Sometimes, because of its immediacy, television produces a kind of electronic parable. Berlin, for instance, on the day the Wall was opened. Rostropovich was playing his cello by the Wall that no longer cast a shadow, and a million East Berliners were thronging to the West to shop with an allowance given them by West German banks! At that moment the whole world saw how materialism had lost its awesome historic power and become a shopping list.”
—John Berger (b. 1926)
