- Dottie Harris became the first contestant to make it to $500,000 before she passed on the Million Dollar Song opportunity. The song remained unrevealed.
- Shamari Berkley became the first contestant under the age of 18, as he was 11 years old when he played the game with the rules changed slightly and many of the songs dealt with something kids would know, such as Take Me Out to the Ball Game and the Hokey Pokey.
