Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group NYSE: DTG is a holding company for Thrifty Car Rental and Dollar Rent A Car, formed in 1990 by Chrysler and spun off in 1997. In November 2012 it was acquired by Hertz Global Holdings in a $2.3 billion deal.

Famous quotes containing the words dollar, thrifty and/or group:

... if we have a dollar to spend on some wild excess, we shall spend it on a book, not on asparagus out of season.
    Katharine Fullerton Gerould (1879–1944)

Be thrifty with your family, but generous with your guests.
    Chinese proverb.

Once it was a boat, quite wooden
and with no business, no salt water under it
and in need of some paint. It was no more
than a group of boards. But you hoisted her, rigged her.
    She’s been elected.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
