Famous quotes containing the words doe, run and/or company:

    Sleep, beloved, such a sleep
As did that wild Tristram know
When, the potion’s work being done,
Roe could run or doe could leap
    Under oak and beechen bough,
Roe could leap or doe could run....
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)

I don’t know if everybody is ready to hear a woman tell them so-and-so is going to run off left tackle. But you know what? They’re going to hear it.
Lesley Visser, U.S. sports reporter and announcer. As quoted in Sports Illustrated, p. 85 (June 17, 1991)

A man is never completely alone in this world. At the worst, he has the company of a boy, a youth, and by and by a grown man—the one he used to be.
    Cesare Pavese (1908–1950)
