Dmitry Galkovsky - Philosophy

Philosophy

Galkovsky energetically denies being a philosopher as well as the relevance of philosophy by itself in the 21st century.

Galkovsky proposed the following classification of world wars:

  • WWI: archaic military conflict
  • WWII: primarily, war of ideologies
  • WWIII: practically bloodless war of robots
  • WWIV: war of computer programs

Famous quotes containing the word philosophy:

[The Settlement House] must be grounded in a philosophy whose foundation is on the solidarity of the human race, a philosophy which will not waver when the race happens to be represented by a drunken woman or an idiot boy.
    Jane Addams (1860–1935)

The literature of the poor, the feelings of the child, the philosophy of the street, the meaning of household life, are the topics of the time. It is a great stride. It is a sign,—is it not? of new vigor, when the extremities are made active, when currents of warm life run into the hands and the feet.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

I am still a learner, not a teacher, feeding somewhat omnivorously, browsing both stalk and leaves; but I shall perhaps be enabled to speak with more precision and authority by and by,—if philosophy and sentiment are not buried under a multitude of details.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
