Dileep married actress Manju Warrier on 20 October 1998 at the Aluva Srikrishna Temple. Their marriage created a controversy about whether married actresses should be expected to leave the field. Manju was a leading actress in Malayalam cinema during the late 1990s but chose to stop acting after marriage. The couple have one daughter named Meenakshi.
