Diagram Convention
Most timing diagrams use the following conventions:
- Higher value is a logic one
- Lower value is a logic zero
- A slot showing a high and low is an either or (such as on a data line)
- A Z indicates high impedance
- A greyed out slot is a don't-care or indeterminate..

Famous quotes containing the words diagram and/or convention:
“Gods fire upon the wane,
A diagram hung there instead,
More women born than men.”
—William Butler Yeats (18651939)
“No good poetry is ever written in a manner twenty years old, for to write in such a manner shows conclusively that the writer thinks from books, convention and cliché, not from real life.”
—Ezra Pound (18851972)
