The Digital Library of Georgia (DLG) is an online, public collection of documents and media about the history and culture of the state of Georgia. The collection includes more than a million digitized objects from more than 200 Georgia-related collections. It can be searched or browsed through the Digital Library of Georgia website.

Housed at the University of Georgia Libraries, the DLG has a production center for digitizing documents, photographs, microfilm, and other media. The DLG website also acts as a portal service, connecting users to related digital collections hosted by partner institutions.

The Digital Library of Georgia is an initiative of GALILEO, Georgia's virtual library, which is administered by the Board of Regents, University System of Georgia.

Famous quotes containing the words library and/or georgia:

Every library should try to be complete on something, if it were only the history of pinheads.
    Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr. (1809–1894)

I am perhaps being a bit facetious but if some of my good Baptist brethren in Georgia had done a little preaching from the pulpit against the K.K.K. in the ‘20s, I would have a little more genuine American respect for their Christianity!
    Franklin D. Roosevelt (1882–1945)
