Accusations of Racism
On the 12th of May, 2010, the main title of the weekly edition of the Weltwoche was : "Must Islam be Banned? - The religion of the muslims is not compatible with the Swiss Constitution."
The front cover of the Weltwoche of 5th of April 2012 published a photograph of a Roma child pointing a gun at a camera under the headline "The Roma are coming". The magazine came in for widespread criticism, particularly due to the alleged 'misappropriation' of a photograph of a Kosovan Roma child playing on a rubbish heap with a toy gun during the Kosovan war to suggest the danger of Roma children to Swiss society.
On the 26th of June, 2012, Die Weltwoche published an article which argued the genetic inferiority of the Irish people. The article lamented the spread of the Irish gene pool and falsely claimed that the Irish Government promotes pre-marital DNA testing in an effort to halt supposed widespread incest amongst the Irish people. It also claimed that the Irish had rat-like anatomic features.

Famous quotes containing the words accusations and/or racism:
“In marriage there are no manners to keep up, and beneath the wildest accusations no real criticism. Each is familiar with that ancient child in the other who may erupt again.... We are not ridiculous to ourselves. We are ageless. That is the luxury of the wedding ring.”
—Enid Bagnold (18891981)
“I dont think Americas the center of the world anymore. I think African women will lead the way [in] ... womens liberation ... The African woman, shes got a country, shes got the flag, shes got her own army, got the navy. She doesnt have a racism problem. Shes not afraid that if she speaks up, her man will say goodbye to her.”
—Faith Ringgold (b. 1934)
