After Football
After retiring from football, Burks became the Wr's Coach for LaGrange College from 2006 up until the 2009 Season. Burks also became the Special teams and Fullback / Linebacker coach for the Georgia Force in 2008. On January 16, 2013 he was hired by Lafayette High School as Athletic Director and Head football coach in Lafayette, Alabama, Home of the Bulldogs!
