Production
Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo is the first film released by the Happy Madison Productions film production company. Adam Sandler served as the film's executive producer. Sandler also shouted the insults "Freak!" and other lines spoken off-screen at Tina, the tall lady. Harris Goldberg, who wrote the screenplay with Rob Schneider was also a co-producer. Harris originally came up with the concept after an appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien where he and Schneider performed "The Blue Man Ass Group," a parody of "The Blue Man Group." That night Harris watched "American Gigolo" in his hotel room. The next morning he began making jokes about Schneider as a gigolo.

Famous quotes containing the word production:
“Just as modern mass production requires the standardization of commodities, so the social process requires standardization of man, and this standardization is called equality.”
—Erich Fromm (19001980)
“It is part of the educators responsibility to see equally to two things: First, that the problem grows out of the conditions of the experience being had in the present, and that it is within the range of the capacity of students; and, secondly, that it is such that it arouses in the learner an active quest for information and for production of new ideas. The new facts and new ideas thus obtained become the ground for further experiences in which new problems are presented.”
—John Dewey (18591952)
“I really know nothing more criminal, more mean, and more ridiculous than lying. It is the production either of malice, cowardice, or vanity; and generally misses of its aim in every one of these views; for lies are always detected, sooner or later.”
—Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (16941773)
