Magic

Dingle was known in the magic world for his technical ability. Dingle was very proficient with difficult sleight of hand technique with playing cards and coins. Among fellow magicians, he was well known for his skill in executing the pass.

Dingle has magic published in several publications and videos. His most popular publication, The Collected Works of Derek Dingle (Richard J. Kaufman, 1982), has been out of print for many years now, but has recently been re-published by Richard Kaufman.

His first main release to the magic world was a small book written by Harry Lorayne. Derek also released several videos which have been now transferred to DVD. These DVDs include Dingle's Deceptions and Dingle's Delights. He was also part of the Stars of Magic series.

Famous quotes containing the word magic:

We’re not blind and we’re not fools. We’re just plain, sensible people who refuse to be fooled by a lot of supernatural nonsense.... There’s no magic in dried lizards and dead chickens.
—Eric Taylor. Robert Siodmak. Frank Stanley (Robert Paige)

The work of adult life is not easy. As in childhood, each step presents not only new tasks of development but requires a letting go of the techniques that worked before. With each passage some magic must be given up, some cherished illusion of safety and comfortably familiar sense of self must be cast off, to allow for the greater expansion of our distinctiveness.
    Gail Sheehy (20th century)

Thou treacherous, base deserter of my flame,
False to my passion, fatal to my fame,
Through what mistaken magic dost thou prove
So true to lewdness, so untrue to love?
John Wilmot, Earl Of Rochester (1647–1680)
