  • The DoD Modeling & Simulation Community of Interest Discovery Metadata Specification (MSC-DMS) (MSC-DMS) is an XML schema partially derived from DDMS. MSC-DMS is primarily used by the DoD's Modeling and Simulation Coordination Office (M&S CO) to promote net-centricity across the DoD Enterprise with M&S resources. MSC-DMS reuses and extends XML global types from DDMS v2.0 to create a custom metacard that is comparable to, but not a direct extension of, a DDMS Resource element.
