In 2006, people of European ethnicities formed the largest cluster of ethnic groups in Edmonton, mostly of English, Scottish, German, Irish, Ukrainian, and French origin. Also in 2006, visible minorities accounted for 22.9% of the population, while 5.3% of Edmontonians were considered Aboriginal and 71.8% were considered Caucasian.
