Hot Lotto (15 Jurisdictions)
Hot Lotto is available through 15 lotteries including Delaware's, and is drawn Wednesdays and Saturdays. Hot Lotto draws five white numbers from 1 through 39, and an orange "Hot Ball", numbered 1 through 19. The jackpots begin at $1,000,000 (annuitized with cash option), increasing by at least $50,000 if there is no top prize winner. Hot Lotto also has an option, called Sizzler (similar to the original version of Powerball's PowerPlay); the Sizzler triples non-jackpot prizes.
The Hot Lotto game will undergo a major change on May 12, 2013. Eight "white balls" will be added, although the "Hot Ball" field will remain at 19 numbers. The top prize will become all-cash, and "taxes paid" (jackpots will reflect the net amount to be won, rather than the gross.) Up to three lotteries are considering adding the game to their portfolios.
