Delaware County Christian School - Other Facts

Other Facts

DC offers a variety of ways in which students can discover what they want to do as a profession and serve their community at the same time. The new "J-term" is a two-week time period after winter break in January (thus, "J-term") when the High School students have a chance to do an internship, go on a missions trip, or take a class of their choice at school. This allows students to be able to gain experience in a possible career field through school, a benefit not found in almost any other schools.

Famous quotes containing the word facts:

“Now what I want is, Facts. Teach these boys and girls nothing but Facts. Facts alone are wanted in life. Plant nothing else, and root out everything else. You can only form the minds of reasoning animals upon Facts: nothing else will ever be of service to them.”
    Charles Dickens (1812–1870)

Great abilites are not requisite for an Historian; for in historical composition, all the greatest powers of the human mind are quiescent. He has facts ready to his hand; so there is no exercise of invention. Imagination is not required in any degree; only about as much as is used in the lowest kinds of poetry. Some penetration, accuracy, and colouring, will fit a man for the task, if he can give the application which is necessary.
    Samuel Johnson (1709–1784)
