History
Delanco Camp was founded in 1898 as the Fletcher Grove Camp Meeting Association in Delanco Township, NJ .
Around 1963, a car crashed into one of the buildings at camp. The crash convinced the board of directors to move the camp to a larger property and build larger and newer facilities. The board of directors eventually agreed to move the camp to Tabernacle, NJ. On June 1965, the camp officially moved to Lake Agape at Tabernacle, NJ.
Since then, the camp has undergone various expansions, including the construction of a new Dining Hall and expansion of the Tabernacle. After the move, the camp also added more summer camps for children and teenagers that are still offered today.
In 1998, the camp celebrated its 100 year anniversary.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“Universal history is the history of a few metaphors.”
—Jorge Luis Borges (18991986)
“The history of this country was made largely by people who wanted to be left alone. Those who could not thrive when left to themselves never felt at ease in America.”
—Eric Hoffer (19021983)
“Throughout the history of commercial life nobody has ever quite liked the commission man. His function is too vague, his presence always seems one too many, his profit looks too easy, and even when you admit that he has a necessary function, you feel that this function is, as it were, a personification of something that in an ethical society would not need to exist. If people could deal with one another honestly, they would not need agents.”
—Raymond Chandler (18881959)
