Famous quotes containing the words professional and/or career:
“I sometimes wonder whether, in the still, sleepless hours of the night, the consciences of ... professional gossips do not stalk them. If so, they have cause to worry over many scoops that brought them a days dubious laurels and perhaps destroyed someones peace forever.”
—Mary Pickford (18931979)
“Work-family conflictsthe trade-offs of your money or your life, your job or your childwould not be forced upon women with such sanguine disregard if men experienced the same career stalls caused by the-buck-stops-here responsibility for children.”
—Letty Cottin Pogrebin (20th century)
