Pfeiffer was born January 1, 1964 in Midway City, California, the daughter of Donna (née Taverna), a home-maker, and Richard Pfeiffer, a heating and air-conditioning contractor. She is the sister of actresses Michelle Pfeiffer and Lori Pfeiffer.
