Dear Doctor

"Dear Doctor" is the 13th episode (production #113) of the television series Star Trek: Enterprise.

Dr. Phlox faces a serious dilemma as a dying race begs for help from Enterprise. It seems that the culture actually consists of two related races, but only the more "advanced one" has been stricken by a planet-wide plague. An episode centred around Dr. Phlox, told in the form of a letter to Dr. Loukas, his partner on the Interspecies Medical Exchange. The subplots explore Phlox's interactions with the crew, especially Ensign Cutler, who has a romantic interest in him.

Famous quotes containing the words dear and/or doctor:

Chaucer’s remarkably trustful and affectionate character appears in his familiar, yet innocent and reverent, manner of speaking of his God. He comes into his thought without any false reverence, and with no more parade than the zephyr to his ear.... There is less love and simple, practical trust in Shakespeare and Milton. How rarely in our English tongue do we find expressed any affection for God! Herbert almost alone expresses it, “Ah, my dear God!”
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

The said doctor can easily practise upon a page, and, if he does well, he can use his remedies on my son.
    Catherine De’ Medici (1519–1589)
